KRLBA acquired 1329 S 6th via a petition for abandonment. The house is a 2-bedroom, 1 bath single-family property where the roof had collapsed, allowing years of water penetration into the house. As a result, the floors were severely deteriorated, walls were crumbling, and the kitchen and bath were completely destroyed. The house was a candidate for demolition, but a local rehabber stepped up and offered to rehab the property.

Given the condition, KRLBA approved a below-market sale and transferred the property to the new owner. Over the next 12 months, we will monitor the buyer’s progress in bringing the property up to code and getting it ready for occupancy.
